Makes 2 servings.Cook the fettuccine according ot the directions on the package but without adding salt.Gently bend each asparagus spear with both hands until it snaps -- discard the tough stem ends. Was the spears in lukewarm water, drain, and cut them into 2" lengths.Place a heavy 8 or 10" nonstick skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes. Add the oil, swirl the skillet to coat it evenly with the oil, then add the scallops and asparagus. Cook, stirring frequently, until the asparagus is bright green and the scallops luse their translucence. STir in the lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
