2 cups Cabernet Sauvignon or other dry red wine
2 T balsamic vinegar
6 cloves garlic
4 t dried rosemary
2 t fresh thyme, minced
Few pinches freshly ground black pepper
Pinch of salt
Pinch of crushed red pepper
4 cups vegetables, such as zucchini and broccoli

Here is how you make TK's Kalamata Cabernet Tempeh:

Cut each block of tempeh into quarters, then cut each quarter into two thin slices. Steam tempeh for five minutes. Blend all other ingredients, except veggies, until fairly smooth. Pour over tempeh in a ziplock or bowl. Marinate for a couple hours or overnight. Preheat a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat. Spray with non-stick spray, then add tempeh in a single layer. Cook for 15 minutes, turning every few minutes, adding marinade as needed to keep tempeh from drying out. With about one minute to go, add the rest of he marinade and boil for three minutes. Steam veggies and cook couscous or mashed cauliflower or potatoes while tempeh is cooking.
