1/4 cup (4 tbsp) *Flax Seed (You can grind the seeds if you prefer)
1/2 cup (.5 cup) Water, Filtered
3 cups Black Beans (About 2 cans and I use organic) Drained and rinsed.
1 cup Cashew Nuts, Raw (pulsed to crumb consistency)
1/5 cups cooked Brown rice
1/2 up or to taste (.5 cup) Fresh Parsley leaves
1/3 cup about 3 Green Onion 1 stalk
1.5 cup, shredded Carrots, raw
1 cup Bread, Bread Crumbs, I like the Garlic and Italian Herb
2 TBSP (6 tsp) Paprika, ground
1 tbsp Chili powder Optional
1 - 2 tsp Kosher Salt


How Do I Make Clean Grain and Veggie Burgers by Tamera?

Here is how you make Clean Grain and Veggie Burgers by Tamera:

1. Place Flax Meal or seeds in the water and soak while you assemble other ingredients. 2. Drain and rinse well the black beans. Place beans in a large bowl. Mash beans with potato masher or fork until most are paste and leaving some whole. 3. Place cashews in food processor and pulse until they are crumb mixture but not powder. Add the to the bowl with beans.4. Add flax and water and all remaining ingredients to the bowl. Mix well. 5. Using 1/2 cup round measuring cup shape, measure for one patty and shape about 3/4 inch thick. 6. To freeze wrap individual patties in plastic wrap and freeze. 7. To Fry: place about 2 tsp oil in fry pan, and fry on med to med low heat to brown well. 4-5 min each side or longer if you prefer. 5. To Bake: 350 degrees on baking sheet for 20 minutes, Flip and bake another 15 minutes. 7. To Grill. Refrigerate patties 30 minutes. Brush patties with oil prior to grilling about 4 min each side. They do have a little tendency to fall apart so you may want to put on a grilling matt. Serving Size:?12 1/2 cup burgers
