Here is how you make Italian Cherry Walnut Cake:

Makes 8 slices- wonderful served warm with vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream!Heat oven to 350. Lightly beat eggs and add vanilla and sugar. Beat until light and creamy. In a seperate bowl sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix in walnuts and fold into egg mixture; fold in cherries. Lightly butter a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper. Spread cake mixture into bottom of pan. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes or until golden brown on top and a wooden pick comes out clean. Cool on a wired rack for 10-15 minutes; remove from pan. Serve warm or let cool completely.
