8 c. oatmeal
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/4 c. canola oil
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. wheat germ
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 c. raisins


How Do I Make Trudy's Granola?

Here is how you make Trudy's Granola:

Combine oatmeal and nuts.Combine wheat germ, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon.Combine maple syrup, oil, and water. Heat until it comes to a boil. Pour over wheat germ mixture and toss to mix. Stir this into oatmeal mixture and toss to mix. Place in greased pan (may take 2 or 3 pans if they are small) and bake at 300* for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until dry and golden brown. Add raisins when it comes out of the oven.Makes 26 1/2-cup servings. I like to eat mine with 1/2 c. vanilla yogurt.Number of Servings: 26Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user TJ2286.
