How Do I Make Turkey homemade soup?

Here is how you make Turkey homemade soup:

STEP 1: Take the bones from the curved turkey and put into the soup pot. I also add the wings (no one wants to eat these) as well as most of the drumsticks (carved off some of the meat). Fill the pot with water. Add seasonings to the mixture. Such seasonings might include: oregano, pepper, garlic powder, and Mrs Dash's seasonings (I use the hot and spicy and the garlic versions). Boil this mixture for a few hours. The water will cook down from over the bones to a 1.3 under the top of the bones. Once this is completed I take the pot outside into Mother Nature's walk in freezer!STEP 2 (The next day, or the next day or ... Bring the pot into the house and let it thaw for an hour. Place it onto the burner and put it at low heat to finish the thawing process.)Remove the turkey bones from the pot. Pour the rest of the liquid through a strainer. Skim off any fat from the broth.Vegetables: dice up the celery, onion and green pepper and put into a pan to fry.Dice up the turkey and add this to the mixture that is frying. Let this mixtrue fry for 45 minutes. Add water if it starts to become too dry.STEP 3:While this mixture is browning it is time to get busy with the cutting up the carrots.STEP 4:Add the tomatoes (paste, crushed and sauce) to the broth. STEP 5:Add the frying mixture to the broth. STEP 6:Take the macaroni and cook in a separate pot. Once cooked strain and rinse. STEP 7:Get another large pot and put some of this mixture into the other pot. Next add the drained and rinsed macaroni. Add some of the the bag of frozen peas to the smaller pot and the rest into the large soup pot. Add water so each is 2 fingers under the lip of the pot. Simmer for another 45 minutes then serve.SERVINGS: This makes 15 servings of 2 cups each.Number of Servings: 15Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user SNOWY58.
