In a large pot boil yams until tender. Drain and yams and put into a large bowl.Sprinkle with about 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice, drizzle with 3 T.olive oil, and season with salt. Mix well. Add and mix chickpeas,onions and cilantro, saving some cilantro for garnish.Mix the lemon juice, water and 3 T. olive oil using an immersion blender or in a regular blender and fold into salad.
