7 oz European Salad Mix (I get mine bagged at Fresh & Easy, but it contains Red Batavia, Spinach, Frisee, Mizuna, Red Chard, Arugula, Red Oak Leaf, Green Oak Leaf, Lotto Rossa, Romaine Lettuce, Red Romaine Lettuce, and Tango)
1 can Dole Mandarin Oranges in Light Syrup
1 avocado, diced
1 Granny Smith apple, diced
1 tbsp half & half
3 tsp dried black currants


How Do I Make "Sweet" Salad?

Here is how you make "Sweet" Salad:

Open the can of mandarin oranges in syrup; pour syrup into a bowl, and set the oranges in can aside. Into that bowl, dice the avocado and apple, making certain to coat it all thoroughly with the liquid. Remove mandarin oranges from can, slicing in half and adding to the apple/avocado mixture. Carefully remove the fruit from the bowl, keeping the liquid inside; add half & half and whisk until well combined. In another bowl, layer the salad mix with the fruit (including the currants), making certain to evenly distribute the fruit amongst the greens. Drizzle the remaining liquid evenly over the greens.
