Here is how you make Basic Beef Pasties:

Oven at 350 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.Dice potatoes, onion, rutabaga, and carrots. Put into large bowl.Add meat to the bowl.Add about 4 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley, salt and pepper, and beef bouillon (crush if necessary). Stir.Roll out pie crusts into 6 inch rounds. Or...if you are round challenged just use rectangles.Put about 1 cup of filling (or whatever you can manage and still close) in the round, and 1 tab of butter. Fold in half, press the edges together, crimp with fork. Bake them for about 45 minutes or until golden brown.We like to serve these with gravy.
