1/2 c. long grain brown rice
3 vegetable bullion cubes
1 can diced tomatos with oregano/basil
1 large onion
1 clove garlic
12 oz. lean ground beef


How Do I Make Quick Lentil Dish?

Here is how you make Quick Lentil Dish:

Cook rice according to package directions.Boil lentils in 3 cups of water with garlic and vegetable bouillon cubes. In seperate large pan, brown ground beef with the onion. Drain off fat. Then add the canned tomato to the beef and let simmer. Keep checking the lentils. You want most of the water to be absorbed. When almost all absorbed, add to the beef mixture. When the rice is done, also add to the beef mixture. Let cook an additional 10 minutes to let the flavors meld. Dish into serving bowls and if desired add low fat shredded cheese on top.
