Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 12 cup muffin tin with baking spray, or line with paper liners. In a large bowl, combine cereal, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and spices. Make a well in the center. Mash the bananas with a fork and add to the well. Whisk egg and buttermilk together and pour into the bananas in the well. Using a fork, quickly combine all ingredients together until all is moistened. Don't over mix. Divide batter evenly between muffin cups.
