150g nuts, unroasted
100g seeds, unroasted
5-6tblsp oil
5-6tblsp natural sweetener, e.g. honey, maple syrup, agave syrup
150g dried fruit
70-100g other ingredients such as coco nibs, coconut flakes
1tsp vanilla essence
1-2tsp spices, e.g. cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger, optional

Here is how you make Almond Granola:

preheat oven to 130 degrees Celcius1. gently heat coconut oil to melt and combine with walnut oil, honey, agave syrup and vanilla essence2. in a large bowl mix together oats, nuts, seeds, spices and salt3. pour the oil mixture over the oats and mix well, so all the dry ingredients are coated evenly4. spread evenly over lined baking sheets and bake for about 30 mins, turning every 10 mins. do not allow to burn, as this will ruin the taste5. add the coconut flakes and coco nibs and return to the oven for 10 mins, turning after 56. remove from the oven and put the roasted mix in to a large bowl. whilst still hot and the dried fruit and mix well. allow to cool and store in an airtight container, such as a kilner jarServing Size: makes around 18 to 20 servingsNumber of Servings: 20Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user ALLIWOOD73.
