Mix flour and salt together. Cut in 2/3 of the shortening till fine as meal. (put in the 2 T shortening plus 1/2 cup shortening).Then cut in rest of shortening (1/4 cup that is left) until the size of large peas. Sprinkle 1/3 cup cold water over mixture. Mix thoroughly with hands until completely mixed.Serving Size:?Enough for 1-2 crust pie (9") plus 1 sm (8") pie shell.
