1 pkg Egg Noodles
2 cups Fat Free Half & Half
1 large Onion, chopped
2 tsp or 1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tbsp Olive oil
1/4 cup Flour
1 tbsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 tbsp Nutmeg
5 cups Water


How Do I Make Chicken and Dumplings Soup?

Here is how you make Chicken and Dumplings Soup:

In a large dutch oven or stock pot, add whole chicken to the water and bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes until the meat is falling apart. Remove the chicken and allow to cool. Once cooled, remove the bones, fat and skin and cut into small pieces. Continue to boil water and add the egg noodles until cooked. Reserve the water.In a large skillet, heat olive oil and saute onions and garlic until soft. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes but do not brown the flour. Whisk in the reserved water and add the half & half. Bring to a boil and add the seasonings, chicken and egg noodles in the dutch oven/stock pot.
