What Are The Ingredients For Docs Chili Recipe?The ingredients for Docs Chili are: 3 c chopped yellow onions1 lb lean ground turkey(or ground turkey sausage) 2 tbsp chili powder 1 tbsp fresh oregano(or 1 tsp dried) 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp ground mustard 2 tbsp chopped garlic 1 1/2 c cooked pinto beans(one 15 oz. can, rinsed and drained) 1 1/2 c cooked black beans(one 15 oz. can, rinsed and drained) 3 c diced tomatoes(or 28 oz. can of roasted diced tomatoes, undrained) 1 c fat free chicken broth 1/2 c black olives 1/2 c chopped green onions or cilantro How Do I Make Docs Chili?Here is how you make Docs Chili: Spray a large saucepan or dutch oven with a few sprays of cooking oil. Add onion and saute over medium high heat until soft and just starting to brown. Add ground turkey; cook over medium high heat, breaking up meat with a spoon until no longer pink; about 6 minutes. Add chili powder, oregano, cumin, ground mustard, garlic, beans, tomatoes and broth. Bring to a boil over high heat and then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes. Garnish with olives, green onions or cilantro.
