You can also add some garlic powder, salt, and pepper while cooking to enhance the meat flavor. While the meat is cooking, grind/chop up the stewed tomatoes. They are in pretty big chunks and don't make easy eating. Add to Crock pot. Place the remaining half of the onion, again finely chopped into the crock pot. Put everything else in the crock pot and stir.When the meat is browned, pour everything into the crock pot. Yes, I mean everything, grease and all. If you have to you can drain, but it loses flavor, and it really doesn't add THAT much fat.Heat the mixture in the crock pot for at least 4 hours.
