1 large onion, diced
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 package Jennie-O Extra Lean Ground Turkey
1 large can whole tomatoes
1 seranno chili (or other hot pepper), seeded & finely chopped
3 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 bottle light beer
1 can dark red kidney beans, drained & rinsed


How Do I Make Simple Spicy Chili?

Here is how you make Simple Spicy Chili:

Place large soup pot over medium/low heat. Add olive oil, onions & garlic. Cook until onions are translucent. Turn heat to medium, add ground turkey. Cook until turkey is browned and cooked through. Break up tomatoes to desired consistency, and add to pot along with seranno chil, chili powder, & 1 tbsp cayenne pepper. Add beer, and simmer for 30-60 minutes, stirring frequently. Taste after about 15-20 minutes and add remaining 1 tbstp cayenne pepper if desired. About 10 minutes before serving, add kidney beans.
