2 cans of red kidney beans ( i use 1 can light and 1 can dark)
1 cup chopped raw onions
1 cup chopped green peppers
2 tbsp of chili powder or to taste
2 cans of stewed tomatoes ( i like to use the stewed tomatoes made for chili)
1 cup of can mushrooms


How Do I Make lisa's chili?

Here is how you make lisa's chili:

brown turkey then drain. put in a nice large pot or crockpot. chop onions and green peppers and add to pot. add the kidney beans, stewed tomatoes, mushroom into pot. DO NOT DRAIN THEM. Then add chili powder to taste. Cook on medium heat for at least 2 hours stirring occasionally. in crockpot just let it cook for 2-3 hours on low to medium heat. stir to make sure it doesn't get stuck to the bottom of the pot. serve hot.Number of Servings: 6Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user MIKESWIFE1.
