1 lb. Ground Turkey (93% fat free or better)
1 lb. Ground Beef (96% fat free or better)
1 can tomato paste
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1 can kidney beans
1 pkg. chili powder seasoning
1/2 box whole wheat pasta
salt and pepper to taste


How Do I Make Meg's Chili?

Here is how you make Meg's Chili:

In a large pot, brown the beef and strain. Put into bowl for holding. In the same pot, brown the turkey and drain. Return the beef to the pot with the turkey and cover with water. Add the packet of chili powder seasoning. Allow this to sit covered at medium heat for a few minutes. Then, add the tomato paste and tomato sauce. Let sit for 3-5 min. Add the pasta. You might need to add more water to the chili at this point and cook covered at med/high heat for 20-25 min. When pasta is finished cooking, add beans and reduce heat to low.
