This recipe is from Eating Well Recipe collection. I changed the recipe by replacing ground beef with ground turkey and reducing the amount of dried thyme. It's a really good comfort food. What Are The Ingredients For Hamburger Buddy Recipe?The ingredients for Hamburger Buddy are: 3 cloves of garlic, peeled2 medium carrots, chopped 1 10 oz. package white button mushrooms 1 large onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. dried thyme, (add more if you like) 1 TBS dried parsley 1 pound lean ground turkey 3/4 tsp salt dash pepper 2 C water 1 - 14 oz can reduced sodium beef broth 8 oz Dreamfields elbow macaroni 2 TBS worcestershire sauce 2 TBS flour 1/2 C reduced fat sour cream How Do I Make Hamburger Buddy?Here is how you make Hamburger Buddy: In a food processor add garlic carrots and mushrooms. Process until finely chopped. Add onion and pulse until roughly chopped. Cook turkey in a skillet until no longer pink, about 3-5 minutes. Add vegetables, thyme, salt and pepper and cook 5-7 minutes, stirring often. Stir in water, 11/2 C broth, noodles, and worcestershire sauce. Cover and reduce heat to medium and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. In a bowl, whisk flour and remaining 1/4 C broth together, and add to skillet along with sour cream. Cook until thickened about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley or chives.
