This is an Atkins Recipe. Instead of 4 turnips, I used 2 large and decreased the olive oil to 1 Tbsp, Kosher salt to 1/2 tsp, and used 3/4 tsp of Hot Mexican Chili Powder to give it a kick.

How Do I Make Spicy Turnip Fries?

Here is how you make Spicy Turnip Fries:

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Peel and trim turnips. Turnips are very hard. I use a french fry cutter & cutting board. Cut turnips into 2" X 1/2" sticks. Put turnips into a zip lock bag. Mix in a small container (olive oil, salt & chili powder). Pour over the turnips in the ziplock bag, seal and shake until all turnips are covered. Dump onto foil lined pan and spread out in a single layer.Roast fries 15 min., turn and roast another 15 min.
