I make this by simply browning the ground beef, but the best way to do this is to divide the meat into six equal portions and form each portion into a pattie. Cook in a skillet that is well coated with spray grease until cooked through. Prepare the mushroom gravy by mixing the powdered gravy with 1 cup cold water in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil while stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer one minute while stirring occasionally.
