I soak the beans overnight or while I am at work 2 cups will make about 5 cups prepared.While I brown the cubed turkey ham onions celery and garlic, boil the beans on high the whole time. When you are done browning rinse boiled beans and add new cold water. Combine beans browned meat and vegetables and bring to a boil. Grate carrots into the mixture.
