Saute the onions in the oil and salt. While the onions are sauteing, cut the asparagus into bite size pieces.When the onions are translucent add the garlic and cook for 1-2 min. Add the asparagus, sauce, and red pepper flakes along with a little bit of water (2-3 tsp) and cover to steam. Stir occasionally. When the asparagus have turned bright green, uncover and let simmer for 1-2 min until the sauce reduces slightly.
