What Are The Ingredients For Lemon Bread Recipe?

The ingredients for Lemon Bread are:

1 c white sugar
6 Tbs. Crisco or vegetable shortening
1 Tbs lemon rind (fresh is best!)
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup 2% milk

1/4 cup white sugar
juice of on lemon or 1 oz of juice



How Do I Make Lemon Bread?

Here is how you make Lemon Bread:

Cream flour and sugar, add lemon rind, beat in eggs, flour, salt and baking powder alternately with milk. Put into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 325, 35-45 min or until toothpick comes out clean. While bread is baking, combine the 1/4 cup of sugar and lemon juice.While bread is still hot and in the pan, poke holes through the bread with a skewer and gently pour the lemon juic/sugar mix over the top.
