The ingredients for My Aunt's Pudding Fruit Salad are:

1 large package Jell-o instant sugar-free fat-free vanilla pudding
3 cups nonfat milk
1 large can pineapple chunks or tidbits
1 large or 2 small cans mandarin oranges
1 small can fruit cocktail
2 cans tropical fruit medley
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup sweetened, flaked coconut (if desired)

How Do I Make My Aunt's Pudding Fruit Salad?

Here is how you make My Aunt's Pudding Fruit Salad:

Prepare Jell-o pudding with 3 cups milk according to package directions; chill. Meanwhile, place a large colander in the sink and open all the cans of fruit and dump the fruit in the colander to drain the fruit. When the pudding is set up, mix the fruit into the pudding. Add marshmallows and coconut, if desired. Chill for at least 15-30 minutes before serving. Can be chilled overnight before serving. Makes approximately 24 (1/2 cup) servings-------------------------------------------------------------This dish can be customized to your tastes. Many people do not like coconut, so you may wish to leave that out. You could add more or less marshmallows, or even leave those out. You can use whatever combination of canned fruit you like - maybe more pineapple, less oranges, whatever. You can play around with more fruit in the ratio to pudding. Keep in mind that it might change the calories, however. Sparkpeople only has a calorie count for "fruit cocktail" and not for the light version - I usually purchase the light fruit cockatil canned in pear juice and not heavy syrup, which lightens the calories. That said, all of your syrups and juices are drained off so the calories will be slightly less overall, but per serving the difference is probably negigible. This is an excellent dish for feeding a large crowd because to feed 50 or more people all you need to do is double the recipe, and all you need is a can opener and a huge bowl and you're done in 15 minues flat.
