Here is how you make Green Beans Fresh:

Cut both ends off each bean. Place all beans in strainer and run cold water over them. Put beans in 3 quart saucepan. Add a little olive oil in bottom of pan. Turn heat on high and keep stirring the beans until they all turn a bright green! When it looks like they have all turned, cover with cold water, just up to top of beans. Heat on high till boiling, then turn down to a simmer. In the meantime, dice the onion in small pieces and add to beans. Add the bacon bits. Cook on low heat until all water is gone.
