The ingredients for Layered Overnight Salad are:

Cut full small head of lettuce into bite-sized pieces, reserve 1/3 of this
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. combination of red and yellow peppers
1/4 c. green onions, chopped
1 pkg. frozen green peas, do not cook
1 can sliced water chestnuts
2 cups Cheddar cheese, grated, divided
Chopped cooked bacon, 6 slices
3 Hard boiled eggs

DRESSING:
2 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt

Use square casserole dish or plastic tupperware with some depth. Reserve 1/3 of lettuce. Place first 6 ingredients in layers as listed. Cover with a little more lettuce. Then spread dressing over the salad and seal edges so it completely covers the salad. Sprinkle with 1 cup grated cheddar cheese. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, sprinkle with chopped cooked bacon, chopped hard-cooked eggs and remaining 1 cup cheddar cheese.
